Here I am in the capital of Queensland.
The last city on earth that I was missing Australian: therefore, at least for Australia ;-) you can finally breathe a sigh of relief because you will not see the post title that has marked my visits to the capitals of the state of the Federation of Australia.

However, apart from a landing on one wheel from the driver of the Virgin (the evvai! :-) trip went smoothly as oil. Then the gain of an hour (if you remember in a previous post of Queensland, unlike New South Wales, does not adopt daylight saving time while being on the same time ...) has enabled us to arrive at the hostel in peace, eat a carbonara wanted "democratically" by Alice and begin our tour of the city. My assumptions about Brisbane have come true: certainly better than Canberra (it does not take much ;-) but not much.
Its CBD with the usual skyscrapers that characterize the major Australian state capitals appears to be even uglier Surfer Paradise (see later!). Even the Royal Botanic garden were not much of a girlfriend
centinnial I think the park is better than Sydney! The only thing I liked was the avenue that runs along the river in that part of town called Southbank
Although this artificial beach complete with lifeguards (you realize ?) made me laugh more than arouse interest palpable ..
The sea had to be really deep if people played Frisbee in the middle, as well as others who were walking in the middle ;-) To understand how unlucky Brisbane, look at the difference between here and the Maritime Museum in Sydney:

This is to Sydney ... Do you ;-) Since a day and a half I think (in my opinion) enough to visit this city we did not wait long to leave it without regret, not without first having rented yet another car that will characterize my journey
This time of the agreement 'We nicknamed "Golloso" but do not ask why because it is a story too long ;-) and spending the last day in the company of Guillaume and Xevi that they too have left Sydney for the joy of Daniel =), in search of farm work (would like to do the cowboys!:-D) in these parts.

From tower blocks are not too high for the time you feel that here the atmosphere is a tourist zinzinello mainly based on the most popular sport by Australians: the SURF! fact in this same weekend there will be a step in the Quicksilver Pro world tour that will see (perhaps because I'm not sure) the participation of the greatest surfer of all time, that is, Kelly Slater.
course to many this sport and this name will not tell you anything (even up to me before arriving in Australia), but take a trip on youtube and you'll see .. But the morning in Coolangatta was nice because here I have found the mythical Natski
What is surfing for nearly two months between Byron Bay and here at least for the next month and has not the slightest intention to find a job .. A myth !=)))
If
Coolangatta was the starter, Surfers Paradise, the second leg of my trip, could be the main course.
Why? Look at the pictures and you'll see ..
Flats that are not even in Brisbane (as above) and from what little I saw on TV, do not look bad at all compared to Miami (although the number is much smaller ..) 
This clash between man's ability to build things like the sea and not pleases me so much, especially when you're in the sun and disappears at some point because you come to find in the shadow of those 50-story behemoths .. However we see that here the atmosphere is different than other places that we encountered (see the presence of a Hard Rock Cafe which I think is the only Southern Hemisphere or the theft of the portfolio that poor Danilo has been the same!)
Anyway a stroll downtown and an afternoon in the sun, were enough to leave this city without regret ..
You should know that my mental approach to visiting the east coast, for being so crowded and travel does not that much is positive.
I hope that third factors (better "third" ;-) to help me change my mind!
