Sorry for the "ritardissimo" in the publication of the post but I've spent the last few months of work here in Sydney, and beach life of its own hostel and I had no desire to write and select images to update the blog.
Yeah I know I could do a mini recap of what happened to me than putting a dozen photos but is neither in the nature of this post nor, more importantly, in my nature =)
So in the coming days I hope to gradually pianino the 3 or 4 posts that describe what happened to me in recent months.
PS As I've written a few posts when the events occurred, do not be surprised in the choice of "tenses "!;-)
Good luck =)
thought I was in Sydney I stayed still for??
But I'm back on the road because I did not f ** k or a desire to go back to work!:-D
Considering that I still remained a few coins before they want to scratch my work forces me to look for something in Sydney prepare for my next trip, I thought it was time for a "real" vacation.
I know that even if you are comfortably seated on your chair behind a desk and a monitor, you'd want to throw me something because I find myself wandering around Australia for 6 months while you fight with the problems of everyday life, but with the reading my story you will understand the meaning of this sentence at first sight "blasphemous"!
In my defense, I can assure you that life as a "backpacker" ;-) is not all roses and flowers, especially when traveling to a country with the sidereal distances
... So I said it was time to say without a trip stress!
;-) But back a bit 'back in time ..
We had been in Hobart.
There we spent all day waiting for the plane to take us to Sydney. Apart from that
Hobart Airport is the worst I've ever seen considering the lack of shops in it (even Lamezia has more stuff, and we want to!), Apart this time to check in the burner gas was stowed (leg instead we brought up in the cabin as hand luggage) for whatever reason in part that, while I was waiting for the plane, I found myself flipping through a lonely Italy in one of the few shops with my noticing this "supreme" pleased that this guide dedicated to all Calabria only 20 pages (when only 10 pages Sila deserve!:-D) while in Australia that are cited even remote villages just because "you can see an unusual mailbox in the shape of fish, excellent horse dung (according to the signs) and the Terrace Cinema, which has 22 (and I add, There are 22!) seats ... see lonely planet pag.191 ed.2006). "
The only thing I can say in front of this mess considering the fact that the lonely was born here in Australia and the Australian authorities and more especially that of Italy, which has 100 pages in less than that of France (Ma can !?!?!?:- D) is a great sound and
BUT FUCK! ECCHECCAZZO ...
After my vent to that guidance without which I would not have even moved from Sydney:-D , I was telling you of my return to the city which has the smallest catchment in Australia called Sydney Harbour (if you read the previous post and one of the posts on the Northern Territory will understand that where there is a pool of water there is always a comparison with the Sydney Harbour to play down its importance!).
I swear I felt sensations similar to what you feel when you're returning home after a long time. I was thrilled, excited and could not wait to get off the plane.
Even while I was underground I was back in early quell'ostello often mistreated and then be my "home" for over 2 months and a half, I went through the mind, like a real train, the images and flash of those 6 months in the Australian land, from the early days "sydneiani" to all those places and things I've seen and that have happened to me during my travels ... I did not expect
really a reaction of this kind ..
Anyway my joy of the return has been widely supported by the review after almost four months with Barbara, the receptionist of the hostel where I spent my day at the hostel and shared a trip to Cairns, who has waited until late in the hostel while to meet again soon! The next day
recovered from fatigue first I could not fail to make a nice lunch of noodles (and specifically the pork with oriental covered by an avalanche of delicious Macadamia!:-P) and then to greet and chat with those guys who knew and are still there .. With much regret (but I already knew), nearly all were either around or returned to their countries of origin, even if my only "friend" of France (quotation marks because for me the two words can not go together!:-D) Thilbaut ( Remember, those panties ;-) remained still there .. Legendary!
Together he and other Italians known in the hostel the day ended as the good old days with a beautiful evening at the World Bar, for me the best room in King's Cross!
course views that too much rest for me and it hurts Vito, after returning to almost 2 in the club, the next day we woke up early to be home of Barbara along with other Italian boys and (not f ** = French o!:-S) for a tasty but also very rich breakfast of bacon, eggs, tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms baked, strawberry-banana-apple wrapped in a scrumptious creamy vanilla-flavored yogurt and all washed down with granola and muesli, pancakes with nutella and to enter and "clean" the palate, strawberries, lemon and watermelon (the order meets the perfect sequence with what I ate ' only note that I repeated around 2 times!:-D).
After the wonderful breakfast and especially abundant (because all day I did not eat anything) and I Vito we got in the way research a new car that will take us around the New South Wales destination for this new adventure.
If you are anxious to know the new name, saying that to smile but could not quite understand what lies behind. The name was chosen
Pier Baguette!
For more info on why this name (if you have some imagination you could see only part of its origin ;-) please contact Barbara =)
The next day, after having spent almost two hours to get out of Sydney since we wanted to avoid the toll roads (do this when you're a backpacker and much !:-), we got back in gear with half the state's capital Canberra ACT, which is the acronym for Australian Capital Territory that would be the first piece of land belonging to the New South Wales, on which it was built out of the blue the city to come to an agreement the two historic rivals, Sydney and Melbourne, each claiming the right to be the capital suitable to represent the new federation of Australia (we are in 1901 years of independence from England).
In fact, the ACT is located halfway between the two rivals and the fact that the name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning "meeting place" (the source of everything you've just said, Lonely Planet!: -P) at Canberra
expectations were not lofty and beyond her visit give me a confirmation of a city, as I call it, because it was constructed of plastic out of the blue that does not let emotions even if we met an alien, has left me even more bitter.
Draft because of his broad avenues that break, leaving real eucalyptus forests.
Draft because of his palaces without style or beauty (some resemble the telecommunications ministry in Rome in the EUR area for those who we were or court order to mean Cosenza!:-D).
So I was very impressed to say the least, although this does not mean that there were places that I have affected in a positive way.
See the Australian War Memorial
where it is exposed in a frank and sometimes harsh (the phrase "when I die I will go to heaven because I already lived in hell" on the jacket of a soldier in the Australian Vietnam, I was very impressed with other stories) the history of all wars in which Australia took part in the (you should know that this nation has lost proportionately more men in World War I that America itself).
Although no reference to the aborigines ..
If there is one thing that bothers me the Australians and their indifference to this people which have literally taken away their land!
The only reference to the aborigines to be found in Canberra (apart from the National Museum of Australia where the Aborigines are treated in a more scientifically that sociological perspective) is the only embassy in the world of a country that officially does not exist Sita facing the old parliament and a group of protesters had set up to claim their right to the possession of lands considered sacred than the requirement of laws that better protect their rights.
also visit the National Museum of Australia and Parliament, were very interesting.
short day and a half spent here is not to be considered wasted, indeed ..
However I believe that one day and a half is sufficient to visit this city ;-)
Plans call after Canberra, the visit (with the rise) of the highest mountain in Australia, namely Mount Kosciuszko (the name is not you sound very Australian as it is the surname of a Polish. Do not ask me why the hell for what they have mostly because a mountain do not know. The only connection I know between the Australians and the Poles is the strawberry jam of "Woolworths Home Brand" as the produce right in Poland!:-D).
However, given the adverse weather conditions (rain throughout the weekend, which among other things we did not allow us to camp a night, which I have never happened in all these months of travel, but I think I know the cause Barbara because of everything from the beginning of the trip was a bit 'remains on experiences from the camp ;-) we quickly decided to go back flights to Byron Bay (as Barbara has "slightly" insisted on going there .. More help: Pier Baguette got to do but I'm not referring to the machine ;-) not visit without first what it is in the middle.
It starts from the legendary town of Bega!
Although there is nothing, Vito pressed just to visit this town (read his first post in Australia and you will understand why!) And indeed myself, because I know what lies beneath - ) I was anxious to have at least one photo under the welcome sign!
For many this may sound normal name, but who is or who has lived in Parma for some time in the city, knowledge of the existence of this city on foreign soil could be compared without having visited a Muslim as if he had done at least once in his life the journey to Mecca!:-D
There is even a view over a valley Beghe (even if ' idea of \u200b\u200bsuch a thing does not attract me much!:-D)
After Bega:-D it was the turn of Kiama (100 km south of Sydney) where in addition to its beauty (it reminded me of Victor Harbour)
allowed me to see both this
and above 2 whales that swam in the ocean. But I have no photos because I lost the second, then believe me if I say that I have seen them if not get attached!:-P
After this meeting we were told that it was time for a spiritual rest of the Berkeley Buddhist temple nearby. ;-)
energy flows so positive that I felt really happy to be there, especially "that ally can you eat" to $ 9 in the cafeteria of the temple-based Asian food (the dessert was something exceptional !:-D)
Dani'd been surrounded by positive energy you too if I was in the cafeteria because the food was all vegeteriano!;-D
The day was then concluded at One Mile Beach in Porth Stephens area that gave me the chance to see one among the three most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen since I came here in Australia.
The next day, again leaving Byron Bay destination that we reached in the evening.
In the middle of the coast, interesting, apart from Port Macquarie (nice town but nothing of that!)
where the only thing interesting is the promenade where you can find a number discogli with writings and drawings left by the number of tourists have gone from here, but now find a free space is practically impossible!
There are an infinite number of so-called "Big Thinghs" of which I had already mentioned in previous posts. Obviously we have seen only those who were on the street since the east coast is full of them!
It begins with the Big Oyster:
through the small Uluru
not without first seeing the Big Prawn
and concluding with a flourish with the Big Banana!
The most famous and publicized because among other things has a water slide as a theme park dedicated to the banana .. I think :-)
A
Byron Bay officially started my vacation because in these 5 days I was always in the same hostel (I happened to Margaret River) and I have devoted all my time on trivial things like going to the beach to sunbathe or evening in the premises with others to make 2 chat and drink.
Anyway my desire to do something I was not held down for long since the very first day I went around the Cape Byron where you have beautiful views of the coast
this is the easternmost point of continental Australia and the lighthouse
But there have been even old and new knowledge. I refer to Charles
Alexandria boy judo champion (do not mess with especially if you are sleeping! ;-) We had already met the Gab before leaving for this trip, and Adrian mini boy of Chinese origin (in fact know at the Mandarin and Cantonese ) but English to all intents and purposes is a surf instructor.
Thanks to him and especially to Vito who had the gall to ask, one afternoon we taught a lesson a couple of hours on the fundamentals of surfing, of course, free!
I had an interest and passion for this sport is thanks to the many excellent beaches for the sport has seen in my travels and my cousin who has sent me a little 'thanks to his stories, but I swear that as soon as I get a bit' mechanism (that is when I figured out how to go against the current wave -seems easy but it is not-and be able to balance for more than a second!) I pumped like no other time.
Obviously, if I happened to be in balance for more than 3 times it was a miracle ..
Cristian He is right when he says that surfing is like a drug: once you've tried the more tired you do not do it!
In fact, the morning after I got up at 7, but to go and surf as much as possible and to catch the best waves (from what I understand the best waves in the early morning and late afternoon, but I'm not sure) and especially to try to make the most the rental of the table since I ended at 10!:-P
As the days have not been definitely a stable meteorological point of view (but now after 6 months in Australia I am used to!) a day as bad weather we decided to visit the town of Nimbin, virtually unknown to many a village before and made famous by a festival in the 70's presented as "total cultural experience in the name of participation" that has collected all the hippies in Australia and where some of them have chosen it as the ideal place "to build a society based on ideals of brotherhood, peace and coexistence in harmony. So all
bitch to conceal that this town is the best place in Australia to find good "weed" to shoot a couple of guns of the good ones!:-D
fact the street hippies of all ages there were mica and find blonde girls that we were offering their "grass therapeutic" was surely not an impossible task! Conversely
Vito and I have wanted to try the famous biscuits that are sold here.
They say that their "secret sauce" (do not force yourself to understand what a lot!) Makes them unique.
Apart from the smell and paid them $ 10 third, the only effect that I have is that I have closed my stomach all afternoon than to have me drained my wallet .. (I prefer the noodles at the same price of Thaipower that give me the same effect at a lower price!) Anyway
a way as any to spend an afternoon than the usual ..
At night, we granted a new visit to the lighthouse to take pictures at sunset.
The last 2 days we spent trying to have fun with a bodyboard (half a surfboard where Surfi lying on his stomach) and chatting with a cute Irish met in the hostel as well as having perfect English (he was Irish and I could understand everything he said since these people are famous for having an accent a little 'tight'!) knew a lot about any topic ..
sorry for the holidays ended and I left the people I met in Byron Bay, after having traveled at night so that the second possible use of all of our holiday (and especially to save a night's hostel that you never hurt! ;-) return to Sydney was not that much harm .. Indeed
me of things these days they have happened so many ..
But that's another story ;-)
"Why does it always rain in Byron Bay!:-D
